
Personal Interest Courses
Students may select certain courses from the degree programme to study as personal interest courses.
These courses are offered by distance learning, and if space is available, on campus. Each courses is taught for a total of 64 hours on campus or an equivalent amount of time online, over a semester.
If courses are studied by distance, attendance at distance learning weekend sessions is highly recommended.
Completion of assessment tasks such as tests and assignments is optional, but if completed, and an overall pass of 50% or more achieved, the course can be credited to the Bachelor of Natural Medicine .
In 2013, each course will cost $640 (or $660 if studied by distance), but does not include text books and materials. Students will not be eligible for student loans for personal interest study.

Semester One
Each of these courses are taught in two 2 hour blocks per week; distance also available:
- Principles and Practices of Natural Medicine
- Foundations of Research
- Anatomy and Physiology 1
- Herbal Medicine
Semester Two
Each of these courses are taught in two 2 hour blocks per week; distance also available:
- Botany and Manufacturing
- Anatomy and Physiology 2
- Biochemistry of Foods
