Graduate Success Stories

“As an adult student, I was nervous about re-starting study. I began part time study in an area I had been interested in for a long time and built up to being a full time student. Some of my study was on campus and some online.
The calibre of the teaching staff at SPCNM is second to none and their willingness to share their own clinical and life experience adds to the richness and quality of this degree.
I had found in my clinical year that many of my clients were in the older age bracket. My clients wanted to be heard, to focus on prevention and healthy ageing and to feel supported. I was surprised to find that many of my clients suffered from anxiety and depression.
Once I graduated I began thinking about the area I would like to focus my practice on and healthy ageing was the obvious choice for me. I now visit several retirement villages and give regular monthly talks on a variety of topics such as osteoporosis, constipation, healthy eating and anxiety to name a few. I see regular clients and work along side the visiting village GPs. Many clients have come to me for advice on diet and natural supplements.
I really enjoy this area of health, empowering my clients to look at natural options to stay healthy as they enjoy their retirement.”
