“From the outset, my experience with SPCNM has been nothing short of amazing.

I recall back to when I was making the decision as to whether I should take what felt like a bold step into this Degree – as it meant that I would have extended periods away from my family in Queenstown. The staff were incredibly supportive and understanding, more so than I had ever experienced in my previous university undertakings. You are not just a number on a long roll of students here, but become part of an extended family.

The education I have received at the college has been comprehensive and steeped in science, while still acknowledging the art and energetic principles behind natural medicine. I feel this degree has equipped me to confidently go into practice and provided me with the opportunity to make many connections that I will take into the future, both personally and professionally.

If you are passionate about natural medicine and motivated to learn, I highly recommend SPCNM as both an educational institution and home away from home.”

“Spending a lot of time on campus means it becomes a home away from home, so the warm welcomes, chats , and support mean a lot, and they start the moment you walk in the door and continue all the way to, and in the classroom. It is a special environment with each tutor bringing their own set of gifts into the classroom and clinic rooms.

When break time comes, or you need to take a breath, you can wander out into the beautiful garden full of colour and medicine, ready for personalised herbal teas, chats, sunshine and fresh air.

When things get challenging, the team are ready to back you how you need it, with conversations, listening ears, herbs or just a hug.

Doing a degree is a big deal, but having these things in amidst it, really is the best!”

“South Pacific College of Natural Medicine, SPCNM is one of my happy places. The people, the surroundings, the garden, the knowledge, it’s all here. Truly inspirational and caring. SPCNM staff are dynamic, move with the times and want the best for all the students who attend the college. Their enthusiasm is contagious and encourages everyone to go the extra mile.

Taking on a bachelor’s degree in natural medicine with three children and working part time in a corporate environment seemed a little overwhelming but the staff at SPCNM had an audible confidence in my skills that inspired me to do it. My studies have been challenging but all the check ins throughout the year really helped me to push that little bit extra to achieve my goals.

I would recommend to anyone interested, come to the college, interact with the staff, attend the community clinic and soon you too will experience the knowledge, support and care.”

“From the moment I set my first foot onto the campus and was warmly welcomed by a staff member who showed me around the beautiful facilities, I felt immediately at home: the bright and cosy student facilities, the Paua clinic right there where 3rd year-students learn hands-on, a library stacked with an amazing assortment of books – I would like to read them all! 🙂 But my absolute favourite part was and still is the stunning herbal medicine garden right in the centre, where one can see, smell, touch, taste, grow and harvest the medicinal plants we learn about. I knew I had found ‘my place’ instantly.

Having started the Bachelor of Natural Medicine degree now, I very much enjoy the inspiring, supportive learning environment. The small class numbers and our engaging, passionate lecturers make learning easy and fun. The staff are amazing and always very helpful and supportive in every way possible. Being on campus feels like being with family.

Studying at South Pacific College of Natural Medicine I feel fully supported in bringing together everything I have experienced and learned so far to build a strong, wholesome foundation to draw on when supporting people on their unique healing journeys.”
